Fail-Safe Overspeed Switch

BWI creates a higher standard in overspeed detection for elevators, emergency escape hoists, downhill conveyors and cranes. Introducing the Eagle® Overspeed Monitor - A highly accurate, fail-safe electronic speed switch featuring state of the art circuitry design.

 

FACTORY PROGRAMMED

 

No field calibration required. Each unit is factory programmed to the customer's specific trip point.

 

TRUE TRIP POINT TEST

 

The two-position test switch precisely simulates a true overspeed or fault condition without operator adjustment or recalibration.

 

Placing the test switch in the overspeed position internally increases the sensor input signal to the preset trip point and causes the control relay to de-energize.

 

Placing the switch in the fault position internally shorts the sensor input signal, which simulates a loss of sensor signal, also causing the control relay to de-energize.

 

RELAY OPERATION

 

The relay energizes when AC or DC power is applied. If an overspeed or sensor fault condition is detected, the relay de-energizes.

 

ORDERING INFORMATION

 

Specify RPM trip point desired. Example: Model 22-4100-327 will trip at 327 RPM
